Front cover of my altered book. |
So we're going through our final exams now in Art 3, and one of our assignments that we've had the whole semester is our Altered books. It's pretty much where you take a book and do your art in it. I picked a book called "Welcome to My Studio" by Helen Van Wyk. I was drawn to the book because it teaches you how to paint better and how to pay attention to light and shadows in your painting, a weakness of mine in my opinion. I can't say I've gotten any better at painting since getting this book (probably cause I read all of one paragraph in the whole thing...), but I'm sure it was very informative. But anyway...here are some of the artistic things I've done with my altered book!

I drew this with crappy markers my mom bought me, it was a drawing of a picture I made in photoshop for a chalk fest that was going on a while ago. Complicated enough?

I shall name this poop painting, and it shall be my poop painting. (Don't worry, its just acrylic paint!) |
Random sharpie sketches, started out as body formation planning. I was going to do a big sculpture out of wire, but I don't have money for that type of stuffs. |
If you're wondering what the writing is, I was studying for German lol.
